Watch Me

You have to watch me when I'm like this
half in my mind
half out
The part that shields the 'real' me
slipping
like a loose drape
off a coffin
and we wouldn't want that now
would we?
Perhaps I should practice
being honest more often
Perhaps I should say what is on my mind
when you're around
but then
I have few enough friends as it is
Good thing
I tend to drink alone
