My name is Corey Edwards and I am a graphic designer capable in both the print and internet environments.  I’ve been working in one form or another of digital graphic design for years and, during 2007-2008, was the creative director for Northwest magazine, a full-color, perfect bound, 96+ page print publication distributed in the US and Canada.

As a graphic designer I am a fast, hard worker who is self motivated and proud of his work but also enjoys being part of a productive team. I bring an upbeat, can-do attitude to my work and am extremely adaptive. If I do not have a particular skill needed for a job, I will develop it. Having single-handedly laid out a multi-page periodical, I understand the importance of deadlines, keeping on task, and clear communication.

I am well versed in digital image production, including scanning, color correction and color management, the pre-press process, and more. I have been using computers for layout and graphic design since 1989 and for digital photography and photo manipulation since 2001. I am proficient with most aspects of the Adobe CS3 Suite and have been doing web design since 2000, so my talents and skills are diverse enough to handle different types of design and layout tasks, whether for print or the web.

I love what I do and really enjoy working to help people realize their ideas in print or on the screen. I enjoy producing clean, traditional layout and graphics, like the kind I provided for Northwest magazine but, with my sense of humor and fascination with visual contrasts, I am also capable of something with a more unique, humorous, or edgy style.

I am interested in full-time, part-time, or contract work, on-site or as a freelance telecommuter. I am willing to relocate. September 2007 - September 2008

•Conceived and executed the entire layout of Northwest magazine, a perfect bound, 96+ page print publication distributed in15 states in the United States.
•Provided photographs and digital illustrations for various articles.
•Served as technical liaison with contributors; color correcting, cropping, scanning transparencies, and editing graphic submissions to fit the magazine’s needs.
•Redesigned or built from scratch many of the ads featured in the magazine.
•Converted and created numerous types of electronic documents for a wide variety of end users.
•Served as technical liaison with printer, preparing our publication for pre-press.
•Redesigned and maintained the magazine’s website.

•Designed and produced a pre-press version of the 6 to 8 page quarterly newsletter.
